Quinoline-4-carboxamide is a quinoline derivative that binds to the drug target and inhibits efflux pumps, which are proteins that remove unwanted substances from cells. This compound has been shown to have antimicrobial properties against Staphylococcus aureus strains. Quinoline-4-carboxamide also inhibits inflammatory diseases by inhibiting the production of nitric oxide, which is responsible for inflammation. The compound has not been extensively studied in humans but has shown significant anticancer activity in animal models.
