Descrição:RG3039 is a novel small molecule that has been shown to have anti-leukemic activity in vitro and in vivo. RG3039 binds to the splicing machinery of the RNA spliceosome, which is essential for regulating gene expression. It also inhibits the phosphorylation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2α (eIF2α) and reduces global protein synthesis. This drug also has an effect on primary cells from patients with AML or MDS and inhibits leukemia cell proliferation. The effective dose for RG3039 was found to be around 10 μM for human cells, but this may vary depending on the cell type.
