Descrição:Sobetirome is a selective small-molecule inhibitor of α subunit of the transcription-polymerase chain. Sobetirome binds to the α subunit and inhibits the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by blocking DNA synthesis. Sobetirome has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in culture and in mice, as well as reducing angiogenesis, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis. Sobetirome has also shown anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).
