Silver trifluoroacetate is a compound that consists of silver and the chemical trifluoroacetic acid. The compound is a white solid with a molecular weight of 188.9 grams per mole. It has the chemical formula AgC(O)CF3SO3H. It is an inorganic acid and its basic structure is silver trifluoromethanesulfonate, which can be prepared by reaction of silver metal with hydrogen fluoride and trifluoroacetic acid. Trifluoroacetic acid contains three fluorine atoms, one carbon atom, and three oxygen atoms. Silver trifluoroacetate is soluble in water, alcohols, ethers, acetone, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvents. This compound reacts with deuterium isotope to form 2-deuterio-silver trifluoroacetate or 3-deuterio-silver trifluoroacetate. Trif
