Descrição

Sermorelin acetate is a peptide that belongs to the family of somatorelin analogues. It is a synthetic, 191-amino acid peptide that has the same amino acid sequence as natural human growth hormone (HGH). Sermorelin acetate has been used in clinical trials with glioma patients and has shown to be safe and effective in the treatment of obesity. Sermorelin acetate stimulates IGF-I production by binding to receptors on cells in the liver, which are linked to GH receptors. This drug also has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect and could be a potential treatment for metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus or antimicrobial resistance, where it may act by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.
