Sotetsuflavone is a natural flavone that has shown to have therapeutic potential in the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases. It is a potent inhibitor of mitochondrial membrane potential, which may be useful for treating cancer cells. Sotetsuflavone also inhibits the expression of epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) genes, which may be useful for treating squamous carcinoma.
