Descrição:Succinobucol is an experimental drug that may be used for the treatment of atherosclerotic lesions. It has been shown to inhibit the atp-binding cassette transporter and induce mitochondrial membrane potential, thereby inhibiting receptor activity in cardiac cells. This drug also inhibits toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) expression and chemoattractant protein production, which may be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effects. Succinobucol has also been shown to inhibit ester linkages and enzymes involved in metabolic disorders, such as diabetes mellitus type 2.
