1,1'-Sulfonyldibenzene is a chemical compound that is used in the production of other chemicals. It has a reaction mechanism that involves the hydroxyl ion and methyl ethyl. It can be synthesized by reacting sodium carbonate with carbon disulphide in the presence of hydrogen chloride gas. The 1,1'-sulfonyldibenzene can be used as a coupling agent for Suzuki couplings. It has been shown to have biological properties, such as being an antagonist for the acetylcholine receptors and inhibiting the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This compound is also resistant to mutants that are resistant to many other antibiotics.
