It has been shown to inhibit the activity of certain enzymes, including thrombin, which may lead to the prevention of blood clotting and reduce inflammation. This drug has also been shown to be effective against wild-type strains of bacteria such as Enterobacteriaceae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
