Descrição

Sylvatesmin is a bioactive phenolic compound found in plants such as Fructus cimicifuga or Etoac extracts. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and cytotoxic properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of inflammatory mediators and reactive oxygen species. Sylvatesmin has also been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against several cancer cell lines, including breast cancer, prostate cancer, and leukemia cells. This compound is able to inhibit the activity of the enzyme protein kinase C (PKC). Sylvatesmin also has been shown to exert a protective effect against oxidative injury in mice by reducing lipid peroxidation.
