Triacetoneamine HCl is a glycol ether that can be used as a solvent for potassium dichromate. It is also a reactive, dehydrating, and pharmacokinetic property diluent. Triacetoneamine HCl is less toxic than other glycol ethers because it degrades to form acetic acid and hydrogen chloride, which are excreted in the urine.
