This drug inhibits cyclase activity, which prevents the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes from arachidonic acid. 3-[(3-Trifluoromethyl)Phenyl]-5-[(4-Carboxyphenyl)Methylene]-2-Thioxo-4-Thiazolidinone has also been shown to inhibit bowel disease and inflammation in experimental models.
