Descrição:Tefluthrin is a chemical pesticide that is used to control insects, mites, and other pests. It is a pyrethroid insecticide with synergistic effects when combined with other pesticides such as metarhizium. Tefluthrin binds to the α subunit of the sodium channel on the surface of the nerve cell membrane and blocks ion transport, which leads to an overload of calcium ions in the cytosol. This causes paralysis and death of cells by overloading the cells with calcium ions. Tefluthrin has been shown to have significant interactions with antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin E. The LC-MS/MS method can be used to detect these interactions because it is sensitive enough to measure minute quantities of tefluthrin in biological samples.
