Descrição:H-Trp-Ser-OH is a synthetic fatty acid that has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells. It was found to have an effect on insulin sensitivity in mice, suggesting it may have potential for treatment of diabetes. H-Trp-Ser-OH also inhibits the production of IL-6 and TNF-α in cultured human monocytes, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis. The effects of this compound on cancer are not yet known.
