Descrição:Trp4-Kemptide H-Leu-Arg-Arg-Trp-Ser-Leu-Gly-OH is a histone deacetylase inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It binds to the catalytic site of histone deacetylases and inhibits their activity, preventing the removal of acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones. Trp4-Kemptide H-Leu-Arg-Arg-Trp-Ser-Leu-GlyOH is a potent inhibitor of histone deacetylase with a high affinity for the enzyme's active site. This compound was found to have an IC50 value of 0.89 μM in vitro, making it a strong inhibitor of HDAC activity. Trp4 also showed efficacy against cancer cell lines that were resistant to pha 680632, which suggests that this compound may be useful as an adjuvant therapy for cancer treatment.
