3,4,5-Trimethyl-1H-pyrazole is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5N. It has three methyl groups on a pyrazole ring, and it is an n-oxide. The irreversible oxidation of 3,4,5-trimethyl-1H-pyrazole to 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid is group P2 nucleophilic substitution. This reaction can be used to synthesize imidazole derivatives such as 2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazolium chloride. This compound has been shown to have antibacterial and antifungal properties in studies with anions and isothiocyanates. Electrochemical studies show that the pyrazole ring coordinates in a trigonal planar geometry with a homogeneous catalyst.
