Descrição:
2,4,6-Tribromobenzene-1,3,5-triol is an aromatic hydrocarbon that has a hydroxyl group and a sulfoxide group. It is used as a cross-linking agent in polymers and can be used to uncouple the oxidative phosphorylation process in the mitochondria to study its functional properties. 2,4,6-Tribromobenzene-1,3,5-triol has been found to be useful in the synthesis of acrylates. It also has optical properties due to the presence of two oxygen atoms.
