Informação sobre produto
2,4,6-Trichlorobenzaldehyde is an aldehyde that belongs to the group of metalloporphyrins. It is used in the synthesis of fluorescent molecules and has been shown to be a good acceptor for hydrogen chloride. 2,4,6-Trichlorobenzaldehyde also has a safety profile and does not give off any toxic fumes when heated or exposed to air. This molecule is easily soluble in water and reacts with acids such as hydrochloric acid to form hydrogen chloride gas. 2,4,6-Trichlorobenzaldehyde contains a chlorine atom which gives it its acidic properties. NMR spectra have been recorded on this molecule at low magnetic field strength. The spectral data can be interpreted by using the naphthalene and haloalkyl models as references for comparison.
