The compound has been shown to inhibit dopamine-beta-hydroxylase activity and to increase the transcription rate of nuclear DNA polymerase. 3,3',4,4'-Tetrachlorobiphenyl is carcinogenic and may cause tumorigenesis by binding to nuclear dna or by acting as a mutagen.>>END>>
