5,10,15,20-Tetraphenyl-21H,23H-porphine cobalt(II) is a metalloporphyrin with a 1D linear porphyrin core. It is synthesized from the reaction of phenyl groups and aziridination of 5,10-dihydro-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphine cobalt (II). This compound has been shown to have photocatalytic activity in the presence of hydrochloric acid. The electronic interactions between the metal surface and the organic solution are important for this process.
