4-(Trifluoromethoxy)phenacyl bromide (4-TFB) is a potent anticancer agent that has been shown to be effective in vitro against a wide range of human cancer cell lines. 4-TFB has also demonstrated potent anti-cancer activity in vivo, with the ability to induce apoptosis and inhibit tumor growth in mice models. 4-TFB is considered to be an advance in cancer therapeutics because it induces apoptosis in cancer cells without affecting normal cells.
