Informação sobre produto
4-(4,4,5,5-tetraMethyl-1,3,2-dioxaboratophenyl)-Methyl triphenylphosphoniuM broMide (BMP) is a synthetic compound that inhibits the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme. This enzyme is involved in the synthesis of cholesterol and other sterols. It also lowers blood lipid levels by inhibiting the synthesis of fatty acids. BMP has been shown to inhibit wittig reaction with aldehydes and phosphonium ylides. The Wittig reaction is an organic reaction that involves the conversion of an aldehyde to an alkene by means of a phosphonium ylide or phosphonium salt. BMP has been shown to be effective for lowering blood lipid levels in animals and humans.
