H-Tyr(Bzl)-OBzl.HCl is a pyridinium compound that is used as a medication for the treatment of pyricularia, a type of fungal infection. The drug acts as an alkylating agent in the body and is able to form covalent bonds with DNA and proteins. H-Tyr(Bzl)-OBzl.HCl has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to signal transducer proteins and regulating their activity, which leads to cell death. H-Tyr(Bzl)-OBzl.HCl is water soluble and can be given orally or intravenously, making it suitable for administration in humans or animals with compromised gastrointestinal tracts.
