Tributyltin azide is a heterocyclic organic compound that is used in organic synthesis. It has shown antihypertensive activity and the ability to inhibit fatty acid synthesis. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of prostaglandin biosynthesis by blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which leads to decreased inflammation. This compound has also been found to have anticancer effects, as it inhibits DNA synthesis in cells.
