L-Tyrosine amide hydrochloride is an amide that is soluble in methanol and aqueous media. It is used as a reagent to study the enzymatic reaction of proteins, such as cancer cells, with acidic pH. L-Tyrosine amide hydrochloride also has anti-tumor activity in vivo and optimum temperature for absorption spectroscopy, which ranges from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. The compound has hydrophobic properties and can form conjugates with bovine serum albumin.
