Descrição:Triethyl 3-phosphonopropionate is an organic compound that belongs to the class of phosphate derivatives. It is a liquid with a low viscosity and a high boiling point, which makes it suitable for use in polypropylene membranes. Triethyl 3-phosphonopropionate is prepared by reacting ethyl propionate with phosphorus pentoxide, followed by hydrolysis of the ester group. The process can be carried out at temperatures ranging from -10°C to 120°C. Triethyl 3-phosphonopropionate has been shown to have antibacterial properties and so can be used as a preservative in food products. It also shows good membrane compatibility, which means it can be used for the preparation of membranes for filtration purposes. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may also be used in the treatment of osteoporosis.
