Descrição:
3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzaldehyde oxime is a synthetic heterocyclic compound that belongs to the group of isoxazoles. It has been shown to have anti-cancer properties in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting the growth of human breast cancer cells. 3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzaldehyde oxime also inhibits the production of 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) and chloride ions in t47d cells. This compound has been shown to be an isomeric mixture of syn and anti forms. The syn form has a higher affinity for the 5-ht receptor than the anti form does.
