• Descrição: 2,2,3-Trimethylbutane is a drug that has been used to treat migraine headaches. It interacts with triptans and antimicrobial agents, which may lead to severe side effects. 2,2,3-Trimethylbutane has been shown to be effective in the treatment of migraine when taken as a single oral dose or as two doses taken at least one hour apart. This drug also shows no significant interactions with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and other triptans. 2,2,3-Trimethylbutane has been shown to have antiplatelet properties in vitro and a multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that it was more effective than placebo for the treatment of acute migraine.
