3',4',7,8-Tetramethoxyflavone is a flavonoid that is found in the leaves of the plant C. aurantium. It has been shown to have antioxidative activity and can prevent cell damage caused by free radicals. This compound also has a direct effect on platelets, which may be related to its ability to protect against reperfusion injury. 3',4',7,8-Tetramethoxyflavone has been shown to degranulate neutrophils and prevent platelet aggregation, both of which are mediated by oxidative stress.
