4',6,7-Trimethoxyisoflavone is a naturally occurring flavonoid that has been shown to have synergistic effects with other compounds. It is also a matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitor, which prevents the breakdown of collagen in skin cells and fibroblasts. This compound has been shown to inhibit the expression of MMP-9 gene in human keratinocytes. 4',6,7-Trimethoxyisoflavone may be used as an anti-aging agent or skin care ingredient due to its ability to reduce wrinkles and stimulate collagen production.
