O-(Trimethylsilyl)hydroxylamine is a chemical substance that inhibits metalloproteases by reacting with the active site of the enzyme and forming an adduct. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of nematodes, as well as to protect against damage caused by covid-19 pandemic. O-(Trimethylsilyl)hydroxylamine has also been used in synthesis techniques, such as solid-phase synthesis, as a more efficient method for amines and hydroxamic acids. In addition, this chemical can react with primary amines to form secondary amines.
