Descrição:Trimethylphosphine is a chemical compound that has been shown to have antifungal activity in vitro. Trimethylphosphine is synthesized by the reaction of trimethylphosphite with an acid, such as hydrochloric acid. Trimethylphosphine has a proton and can be classified as an acidic compound. In the presence of an oxidation catalyst, trimethylphosphine reacts with oxygen to form phosphoric acid and hydrogen gas. Trimethylphosphine is also used to produce phosphines by reacting with organometallic compounds or metal oxide catalysts. This chemical has been shown to have therapeutic properties for metabolic disorders due to its ability to react with fatty acids and convert them into energy. Trimethylphosphine binds to group P2 protein receptors on the cell surface, which triggers a number of cellular responses including inhibition of glucose uptake, stimulation of insulin secretion, and modulation of lipid metabolism.
