- Trifluoro(Hexyl)Silane
Trifluoro(hexyl)silane is an organic compound that is a colorless liquid at room temperature. It is used as an insulator in the manufacture of integrated circuits, and has been shown to be a powerful polymerization inhibitor. Trifluoro(hexyl)silane reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce chloride gas, which is toxic and corrosive. This compound can react with hydrocarbons to form organosilicon compounds. Trifluoro(hexyl)silane also reacts with halides, such as chlorine or bromine, to produce silicon-containing compounds.
