4-(Trifluoromethylsulfonyl)Aniline is a chemical substance that has been identified as an inhibitor of the vanilloid receptor TRPV1. It can inhibit long-term potentiation, which is the strengthening of synapses due to repeated stimulation. 4-(Trifluoromethylsulfonyl)Aniline is a novel analgesic with potent activity at the cyclic AMP cascade and nanosheets. It also has functionalities that are receptor-mediated, such as being able to deplete intracellular calcium stores.
