1,2,2-Trifluorovinyl-triphenylsilane (1,2,2-TFVS) is a drug that is used to treat congestive heart failure. It has been shown to be effective in patients with body mass index greater than 30 kg/m. 1,2,2-TFVS is also an angiotensin system inhibitor and has been shown to reduce brain infarction in animal models. This drug can be used as an antimicrobial peptide or monoclonal antibody for the treatment of infectious diseases. 1,2,2-TFVS has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and could be used as a treatment for autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis.
