1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoroethyl methyl ether (HFC-152a) is a refrigerant that belongs to the group of fluorocarbons. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the human influenza A virus (Covid-19 pandemic). HFC-152a is used as a supplement due to its high boiling point and low toxicity. This chemical is considered to be environmentally safe. In addition, it has been classified as a flammable gas with a vapor pressure of 5.3kPa at 20oC.
