It is a particle that has been shown to have high thermal expansion and low cross-linking activity. The molecular modeling of this compound has shown that it is an amphiphilic molecule. This compound also has two functional groups: a hydroxy group and a fluoroalkyl group. 2,2'-((Perfluoroethane-1,2-diyl)bis(oxy))bis(2,2-difluoroethanol) can be used as a substrate film for metal hydroxides and as a polymerization initiator for polymers having sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid groups. The structural formula for this compound is CH3CFOCH3.
