Vinylboronic acid is an alkenyl compound that can be used as a reagent in the Suzuki coupling reaction. This chemical is a biologically active compound that has been shown to have a stereoselective, synlett-catalyzed coupling reaction with phenothiazine and other alkenes. Vinylboronic acid has also been shown to catalyze the Pd-catalyzed coupling of iodides with olefins. This chemical has been investigated for use in preparative and stereoselective reactions, such as a palladium-catalyzed coupling reaction.
