Vinyltris(2-methoxyethoxy)silane is a silicon compound with the chemical formula CH3OCH2Si(OEt)3. It is an organosilicon compound that is used in coatings and powder preparation. Vinyltris(2-methoxyethoxy)silane reacts with peroxide to produce a magnesium oxide coating, which can be prepared by reacting for a short time or for a long time. The morphology and surface properties of the coating depend on the reaction time. When calcium stearate or calcium carbonate are added to the reaction mixture, polymeric matrixes are produced. These polymeric matrices have cavitation resistance and high mechanical strength.
