Informação sobre produto
Arecaidine hydrobromide is a pharmaceutical preparation that has been used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It has been shown to have affinity for the acetylcholine receptor and to act as a cholinergic agonist. This drug also seems to have an effect on the maturation of the nervous system, which may be due to its ability to affect the synthesis of polyfluoroalkyl substances. Arecaidine hydrobromide is derived from arecoline and arecaidine, two pyridine alkaloids found in areca nuts. The leaves of this plant contain other active compounds such as pericarps.
