2,5-Dichlorophenylthioglycolic Acid is an organic compound that is used as a reagent for the synthesis of thiourea. This product can be used in the production of high yield of monochloroacetic acid and sulfuric acid. 2,5-Dichlorophenylthioglycolic Acid is used in the synthesis of sodium salt. It has been shown to be an environmental pollutant and is toxic to aquatic life. The main route of exposure to this compound is through inhalation or ingestion. 2,5-Dichlorophenylthioglycolic Acid may also cause irritation on skin contact and eye contact.
