Plumbea is a natural product that belongs to the nortriterpenoids group. It has been isolated from the dichloromethane extract of Plumbea caco-2, a plant found in the Hyacinthaceae family. Plumbea is a precursor of nortriterpenoids and can be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of various molecules. The compound is also known to have anti-inflammatory properties and has been shown to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation in vitro. It was also found that it has a dose-dependent effect on neutral red uptake, with higher doses inhibiting erythrocyte aggregation more than lower doses.
