4-[5-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]piperidine is a compound that has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect in mice. It was also found to inhibit protease activity and to reduce oxidative injury in the liver of mice. 4-[5-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]piperidine is a natural compound that may be used as a fixative agent in the preparation of biological specimens for electron microscopy. It can also be used as an active ingredient in food hydrocolloids, such as ice cream and bread, which are used to provide flavour and texture. It has also been shown to have anti-HIV activity and may be useful for treating HIV infection.
