4-(2-(2-Ethoxyphenyl)hydrazono)-3-methyl-1-(4-phenylthiazol-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one is a pyrazole derivative that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inducing apoptosis. It has been shown to bind to the Bcl-2 protein family and block the downstream effects of chemoresistance in leukemia cells. This compound also induces cell death in cancer tissues by activating caspases, which are proteases that cleave proteins into smaller fragments.
