Descrição:NSC 33994 is a histone lysine methyltransferase inhibitor that blocks the ubiquitin-proteasome system. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting signal transduction, autophagy, and cell division. NSC 33994 also inhibits the expression of genes encoding for proteins involved in cell proliferation and growth, such as the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). The drug has been shown to be effective against infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and influenza. The effective dose is unknown but it is believed to be between 1-10 μM.
