Descrição:Gomisin M2 is a hepatoprotective drug that belongs to the group of herbal medicines. It has been shown to protect against liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride or acetaminophen in rats, as well as liver damage caused by alcohol in mice. Gomisin M2 has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anticancer effects, including the inhibition of human cancer cell proliferation and metastasis. The mechanisms of action are not fully understood, but may be due to its protection against mitochondrial membrane potential loss, suppression of inflammatory cytokines, or inhibition of NF-κB activation.
