Informação sobre produto
- 2-(Benzoylmethyl)pyrimidine
- Ethanone, 1-Phenyl-2-(2-Pyrimidinyl)-
1-Phenyl-2-pyrimidin-2-yl-ethanone is a diazine that has been deuterated. It is a mesomeric compound, which means it can exist in two tautomeric forms. The nature of the anion determines whether the alkylation occurs on the 1 or 2 position. If chloride is the anion, then alkylation will occur at the 1 position. If nitrogen atoms are present, then alkylation will occur on the 2 position. Deuteration of 1-phenyl-2-pyrimidin-2-yl ethanone has been shown to inhibit malondialdehyde production and reduce reactive oxygen species.
