Descrição:BRD9185 is a synthetic, small molecule drug that inhibits the enzyme phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase (PI3K). BRD9185 has been shown to be potent inhibitor of PI3K in tissue culture and animal models. It prevents the biosynthesis of phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate, which is an important component of cell membranes. The inhibition of PI3K by BRD9185 leads to a functional change in mitochondria, which may be related to its anticancer activity. In addition, BRD9185 has demonstrated potent inhibition against cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. BRD9185 also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins.
