Descrição:Luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) is a protein that is responsible for triggering the release of luteinizing hormone (LH). LH stimulates the production and release of testosterone, which in turn stimulates sperm production. The LHRH gene encodes a protein precursor that is cleaved by proteases to produce mature LHRH. This precursor, called pro-LHRH, can be added to a protein solution to induce follicular growth in rats. Pro-LHRH has been shown to have an effect on the frequency of spermatogenesis. Proteins containing pro-LHRH can be used for hormonal research and as additives for protein solutions.
