• Descrição: Alarelin is a peptide hormone that is released by the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland. It regulates the release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland, which regulates ovulation and testosterone production in males. Alarelin can be used to induce ovulation in women who are undergoing fertility treatments or to stimulate FSH and LH levels in men with low testosterone. Alarelin is also used as an experimental treatment for male infertility. Alarelin has been shown to act as a gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist, exerting its action through binding to GnRH receptors found on cells in the hypothalamus, causing them to release hormones that stimulate the pituitary gland. This drug has a molecular mass of 534 Da and a stable peptide structure with no significant degradation products observed following freeze-dried or desiccated
